In past Michael Schumacher had 18 races in Spain with 7 victories 13 podiums, 8 pole positions, 8 fastest laps and in 16 races finish in points with a total of 108 points.

In 6 races he drive for Benetton with 2 victories, 3 pole positions, 3 fastes laps and in all races got points. Five races were at Caralunya and one at Jerez. With Ferrari Schumacher had 12 races with 5 victories, 5 pole positins, 5 fastes laps and only in two races did not received points.

In four races he had victory, pole position and fastest lap, first time with Benetton in 1994 at Jerez followed by other 3 while Schumacher was at Ferrari in 2001, 2002 and 2004 all at Catalunya.

First race for Michael Schumacher in Spain was back in 1991 at Catalunya, he start from position 5 and finish on 6. Last race was in 2006 with Ferrari when he starts from 3rd place and finish on second.

Perhaps the worst race (when he finished the race) was on 2000 when Schumacher had the pole position but he finished just n place 5. The best perhaps was in season 1996 when he was 3rd on grid and won the race, but also next season in 1997 when he start from position 7 and finish on 4.

From the start list six drivers already won in the past at Hungaroring : Barrichello, Buton, Raikkonen, Alonso, Kovalainen and Hamilton. Most experienced drivers is Barrichello with 16 starts at Hungaroring followed by Fisichella and Trulli with 12.

First task in this weekend for each driver will be the fight for a good place on the grid. Only Hamilton have 2 pole positions at Hungaroring, and one for Barrichello, Raikkonen and Alonso.

Last task is a great position at the end of the race, if posibile on the podium. Kimi Raikkonen have already 4 podiums, Barrichello 3, Heidfeld and Alonso 2 and one for Button, Kovalainen, Hamilton and Glock.

Raikkonen and Barrichello have most points, 35 followed by Alonso with 26.

If we take a look at all time F1 races at Hungaroring, again, Michael Schumacher will rule all the tops. Just at podiums he is a little behind Senna, both had 7 podiums, the only difference is that Senna in 8 races (87%) while Schumacher from 14 (50%). In all tops Senna is with Schumacher except at fastest laps. Senna in 8 races have 3 victories, 3 pole positions, 7 podiums, in 7 races finish in points with a total of 53 points, but he never had the fastest lap on Hungaroring.

That was the only race where Sebastien Vettel was ever on pole, and the only race he finished on podium.

Vettel participate in 28 F1 races and finish the race in 18 of them. In 6 races he finish the race in a position bellow from the start.

This season Vettel almost won his second podium, but he had a collision with Kubica at Melbourne. Looks like there are big chances for a podium in 2009 China F1 race for Vettel.

Almost every season a few drivers and/or teams are joining or retiring from the world of Formula1. 2009 is one of them, and it has a few retires, the only new to the games is Brawn team.

Bye bye

Anthony Davidson

The British driver left the Formula1 last year when after just four races Super Aguri team retired from F1.

In 2007 he drive all 17 races for Super Aguri. All teams were Anthony Davidson drove are no longer part in F1.

Takuma Sato

After seven seasons of driving Takuma Sato will not participate this season. His first race was on 2002 at Melbourne, and made the debut in F1 along drivers like Webber, Massa and Allan McNish, in that race were Raikkonen had the first podium.

The most important race for Sato was at Indianapolis in 2004 when he succeed to get a podium for the third place with BAR. In season 2004 he obtained the most points in a season, 34.

At home, at Suzuka, he finished in points in 3 seasons 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2004 he was close to the podium when he finished the races on the 4th place. At Suzuka he gathered 10 points.

In last 3 races on Melbourne we have different winners, McLaren 2008, Ferrari 2007 and Renault in 2006. At pole position same situation except in 2006 when a Honda car was on the pole position. From the top teams only McLaren finish on podium in all last 3 races with a victory in 2008 , place 2 and 3 in 2007 and 3 in 2006. In 2008 and 2006 McLaren set the fastest lap at Melbourne.

If we take a look back in history we found McLaren and Ferrari at all tops on Melbourne

Top Victory

Ferrari won 5 races at Melbourne 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2007. McLaren won 4 races in 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2008. the top continues with Renault in 2005 and 2006 and Williams in 1996

Pole position

Ferrari have 5 pole positions (from 2001 until 2004 and 2007), McLaren 4 (from 1998 until 2000 and 2008), Williams 2 (1996 and 1997), and one for Honda 2006 and Renault 2005

Fastest laps

Ferrari and McLaren lead this top with 5 victories for both teams, Williams 2 and one for Reanault.

Perfect Weekend

Only to drivers succeed to win the race, the pole and to have fastest lap n the same season on Melbourne. In 2001 (Schumacher), 2004 (Schumacher) and 2007 (Raikkonen) Ferrari won the race, the pole and had a fastest lap with the same car. McLaren (Hakkinen) succed this to in 1998.

But this topic is about teams. And there are another situation with the team won all this 3 tasks, with different cars.

1996 Hill wins the races and Villneuv got the pole and the fastest lap for Williams.

2005 Fisichella won the race and pole for Williams while Alonso was the fastest driver in the race.

2007 McLaren won the race and pole with Hamilton and the fastes car drived by Kovalainen

Top podiums

Ferrari and Williams had both a podium with 12 ocasions, Williams 8, Renault 4 and once by BMW, Jordan and Toyota

Top Points

Ferrari is the leader of points on Melbourne with 108 points, 99 for McLaren 69 Williams and 53 Renault.
