Lewis Hamilton 2008 F1 results
Formula1 2008 was the second season for Lewis Hamilton, and this time he won the title. In 2007 season he missed the title in the last race by 1 point.
The 2008 Formula1 season had 18 races, and for Lewis the start was good with pole and victory at Melbourne. Hamilton had 5 victories : Melbourne, Monte Carlo, Silverstone, Hockenheim and Shanghai.
7 pole positions at : Melbourne, Montreal, Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Spa Francochamps, Fuji and Shanghai
10 podiums : Melbourne, Catalunya, Istanbul, Monte Carlo, Silverstone, Hochenheim, Valencia, Spa Francochamps, SIngapore and Shanghai.
Only one fastest lap at Shanghai.
This season Hamilton had 98 points in 14 races. There are four races without points : Bahrain, Montreal, Magny Cours and Fuji.
Finish all races except at Montreal where he hit Kimi on the pit lane.
At Shanghai Lewis had pole, fastest lap and victory.
At Monza Lewis start from position 15 and finished on 7, this was the best “jump” he made this season. In 9 races he start form the first line (place 1 or 2). Worst race was at Fuji where he start from pole and finish only on place 12.
On the top of 2008 F1 statistics Hamilton leads the most pole positions (7). On other three categories he share the first place:
- Victory and pole (3) with Massa
- Podiums (10) with Massa
- Finish in points (14) with Kubica
