Published by admin at 7:15 pm under Statistics

At Malaysia 2010 GP Mark Webber start the race from the first grid. This is the second time in his career with this performance.  On the previos race when he got the pole position he also won the race, at 2009 Nurburgring F1 race.

From the second row Webber starts in six races, first time in 2004 Malaysia F1, a race which he will not finish. The other F1 starts from 2nd place are : 2005 Catalunya, 2006 Monte Carlo, 2008 Silverstone, 2009 Interlagos and 2010 Melbourne

In 142 F1 races before Malaysia 2001 race, Mark Webber finish on the same place as at start in 14 races. From this we can mention the 2009 Nurburgring race where he won the race and other two races where he start and finish on 3rd place : 2005 Monte Carlo and 2009 Hungaroring.

In 59 races he finish the race better from the place he starts, but finished only in 56 of  them.  He did not finish the 2002 Sepang, Hockenheim and Monza race.  Best jump from the start to finish was at his first Formula1 race at 2002 Melbourne GP when he start the race from position 18 and finished it on 5. That race was won by Schumacher, but the happiest man was of course Mark Webber. There are other 3 races when he jump 10 positions from start at 2003 A1 Ring from 17 to 7, 2002 Montreal from 21 to 11 and at 2002 Magny-Cours from 18 to 8
